Safety Guidelines for Scaffold Rentals in the Northwest Territories
- Do not paint, colour code or label scaffold parts.
- If equipment is altered in any manner, the customer will be charged for labour and materials to repair the scaffold.
- Permanently secure any items to the scaffolds.
- Never drop equipment from any heights, as abuse of equipment will be charged when it is returned.
- Secure all scaffolds from falling and make sure scaffolds are level at all times when in use.
- To avoid losing equipment, secure all loads before leaving our site or job site.
- Any rental product returned in a contaminated condition is subject to refusal of the said product being left at our site.

What should you check before using scaffold?
- Effects from winds increase when scaffolds are covered.
- Ensure that scaffold is securely attached to the building structure.
- Remove snow and ice from scaffold platforms ladders and access areas.
- Protect all planked or working levels with proper guardrails.
- Replace any guardrails that were removed while hoisting materials. Wear fall protection until guardrails are reinstalled.
- Use an access ladder not the scaffold frame unless it is specially designed to be climbed.
- Adequate ventilation for the work activity inside must be supplied if the scaffold is completely hoarded.

How to Use a Masonry Scaffold
