Types of Scaffolds

There are many types of scaffolds:

1. Suspension scaffolds
2. Self-supporting scaffolds
3. Special use scaffolds

1.Self-supporting scaffolds: 
Following are the different types of scaffolds:

• Frame scaffold
• Specialty scaffold
• Pump jack scaffold 
• Ladder jack scaffold
• Tube coupler scaffold
• Manually propelled
• Pole scaffold

2.Suspended scaffolds: Suspended scaffolds  are platforms suspended by ropes. Because two-point scaffolds are the most common type of suspended scaffold.
Following are the different types of Suspended scaffolds:

• Two-Point Adjustable scaffold
• Multiple-Point Adjustable scaffold
• Multi-Level scaffold
• Float scaffold
• Interior Hung scaffold
• Catenary scaffold
• Needle Beam scaffold

3. Special use scaffolds:Special use scaffolds  are capable of supporting their own weight and at least 4 times.
Following are the types of Special use scaffolds:

• Roof Bracket
• Ladder Jack
• Crawling Boards
• Outrigger
• Pump Jack
• Window Jack
